I want you to do the assignments listed below. You may use the internet and the command prompt screen. You may also use the expertise of your fellow students.

I suggest you cut and paste the assignment into notepad, answer the questions in notepad, email me the assignment, and then you may use this assignment during the test.

E-mail the assignment at the end of class to pioneerpacific@gmail.com. Even if you have not completed the assignment, you still must turn it in.

Final Exam:

The final exam will consist of a written test given out during class time and a hands-on project.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FIRST. Part of your grade will test your ability to follow instructions.

The final project will consist of cutting-and-pasting the source code from final-lab.html into a text editor such as gedit and creating a shell script called final.sh

The following steps will be part of your final exam:

1. You must be logged in as root

2. You must be at the root's home directory desktop

3. The shell script final.sh must be run from the root's home directory desktop

4. The shell script final.sh will create a file called turnin when it is complete

5. You must e-mail the file called turnin to me at pioneerpacific@gmail.com or give me a copy of during the test to get credit for the hands-on project
